This Extra Special Reserve Russian Imperial Stout has undergone a rigorous aging process to create a truly unique and flavorful experience. After its initial 10 months of aging in bourbon barrels, it embarks on a second slumber, resting for an additional 4 months in freshly emptied Rye Whiskey barrels. This dual-barrel aging process, conducted under the vigilant eye of our head brewmaster, results in a complexity that sets this stout apart.
The Double Barrel Reserve offers a seamless blend of flavors, with smoky and earthy notes intermingling with oaky undertones. The result is an intensely delicious stout, possibly the most intricate member of the Flying Buffalo family to take flight.
