The classic lager: A world of flavor
This classic pilsner offers a perfect balance between the sweetness of malt and the bitterness of hops.
With its clean and refreshing character, it's ideal for any occasion, whether it's a casual get-together with friends or to enjoy after a long week at work. Its golden color and crisp taste make it a favorite among beer enthusiasts worldwide.
From the Czech Republic to your glass
Pilsner has a fascinating history that begins in the Czech city of Plzeň. Originally brewed by brewer Josef Groll in 1842, Pilsner quickly became a sensation and spread throughout Europe and then the rest of the world. This journey has led to a wide range of variations, but the authentic Czech Pilsner remains a favorite due to its simple yet sublime flavor profile.
While all lager beers have their roots in the classic, dry and refreshing lager style, there are some regional differences. Czech Pilsner is often more malty and full-bodied than its German counterpart. It has a distinct hop bitterness, but it's more balanced and softer than other varieties. German Pilsner has a lighter color than the Czech version and a more pronounced bitterness. German Pilsners are usually spicier and have a cleaner, crisper finish. Italian pilsner is often derived from the German tradition, but it has some unique twists. It's usually more fruity and floral in flavor and can have a more complex hop profile. Of course, there are many other variations, but these regional pilsners reflect the different brewing traditions, local ingredients and preferences of both brewers and consumers.
