Frederiksdal Vermouth is a unique fortified wine made from Stevns Cherries grown on the estate's own plantations. Our inspiration for this vermouth came from a study trip to Spain and countless experiments, leading to the creation of our version in 2018. It is composed of our fruity vintage wine and Frederiksdal Rancio, aged in a Solera system of old cognac barrels for 12-24 months. This base contributes to giving Frederiksdal Vermouth a potent and complex expression, with a perfect balance of alcohol, wine, and spices. Vermouth, derived from the German word 'Wermut', meaning wormwood, must always contain the bitter herb. In our version, we have added fresh extracts of orange and lemon peels, vanilla, cinnamon, Arabica coffee beans, and aniseed. With an alcohol content of 15.5%, Frederiksdal Vermouth offers a deliciously balanced flavor profile.
